2023 Sustainability Checklist
As we start the New Year, we make goals to make this year eco-friendly, green, and sustainable. You can start these changes with everyday essentials!
To do this we must know about the 3 R’s — Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle to ease this process .
Now as easy as it sounds, we all need a list of sustainable options to incorporate into our daily life to get this flow going. Here is your personal checklist of sustainable options for your daily essentials for 2023:
The 2023 Sustainability Checklist-
- Switch to bamboo toothbrushes from plastic Toothbrushes. Plastic toothbrushes take years to decompose and around 50 billionpounds of toothbrushes end up in landfill each year.
2. The mugs and the buckets in the Bathrooms used can be switched to metal instead of plastic which is more durable than plastic.
3. If you are getting a parcel of food, use your own steel containers to avoid plastic containers.
4. You can carry your own reusable cup/mug while travelling to get tea, coffee and other beverages. We can very sustainably switch to metal/glass containers instead of plastic containers to store our kitchen items.
5. The brooms that are used to sweep can be switched from plastics to our traditional bamboo brooms easily.
6. Bring your own Cloth Bags to shopping instead of buying plastic bags at the store.
7. You can reuse your old clothes as doormats in your house.
8. The party favors can be made with reused decorations or of organic décor like fresh flowers, leaf confetti, and Newspaper which can be decomposed after use and reused!
Reuse whatever you can until the product’s longevity and durability is done. After that, you can still reuse it by upcycling or turning it into another type of product for different use.
Reduce impulse buying products that are plastic, single-use, and harmful to the environment. Instead buy products that have a longer life.
Recycle plastic, glass, and paper material-based products which help keep the environment safe.
