3 Hacks to Reuse Kitchen Waste
What is the ratio of your kitchen-produced food and waste? Yes, Composting is the easiest and very affordable way to put your kitchen waste but what if there were other ways to reuse it? Here are 3 simplest ways to Reuse your kitchen waste to fruition -
- Citrus Helpers -
Citrus fruits and vegetable rinds or peels are the easiest to reuse and make a homemade cleaner. Just collect your peels, put them in a jar, and soak them in white vinegar. After 24 hours you have an easy homemade cleaner for your glass and wood accessories at your home!
2. Coffee and Eggs -
Coffee grounds and eggshells are a nutrition source for your plants. Just mix in powdered eggshells or used-up and dried coffee grounds in the soil of your plants. This way nothing goes to waste and is reused for your plants.
3. Save those tops -
Root vegetables like carrots and radishes have their tops cut off. Instead of throwing them away, you regrow them by soaking them in water for a few days and then transferring them into the soil.
Apart from composting your food scraps, there can be other ways to utilize that waste to help with other things. Do remember to upcycle, reuse and reduce kitchen waste by finding more uses if you can.
