Battery Waste EPR — Deadlines for Compliance
The Battery Waste Management Rules are quite new. The rules were notified in 2022, there are seven amendments to them till date.
As per these amendments, there are different deadlines which needs to be followed and they can be categorized into following major types:
- Registration: There is no deadline as such for Registration given in the rules.
- EPR Plan for FY22–23: This was supposed to be submitted to the CPCB before 22nd November 2022.
- EPR Plan: On a regular basis, this plan of Action needs to be submitted to CPCB through form 1(c) before June 30th every year.
- Annual Return: The deadline for this is June 30th every year.
